Job Description

Role Purpose

The Regional Manager will spearhead sales operations and strategic market execution across the Faisalabad region. As a highly populated and competitive market, this role requires a dynamic leader focused on building a high-performing field force, driving aggressive sales promotion, and ensuring continuous training and development to secure and expand market share. The position will oversee production activities across the regions of Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, and Sargodha, ensuring standardized processes and regulatory compliance across all sites

Core Responsibilities

1. Team Building & Leadership

  • Talent Acquisition: Actively recruit, interview, and onboard high-caliber Sales Promotion Officers (SPOs) and Area Managers within the Faisalabad territory.
  • Team Motivation: Cultivate a culture of accountability, ethical promotion, and high performance. Address field grievances promptly to maintain a highly motivated and cohesive team.
  • Succession Planning: Identify and mentor top-performing SPOs for future leadership roles within the company.

2. Sales Promotion & Market Execution

  • Territory Management: Design optimized “Tour Programs” to ensure deep market penetration across urban Faisalabad and its adjoining rural distribution networks.
  • KOL Engagement: Establish and nurture strong partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), leading consultants, and major institutional hospitals in the region.
  • Campaign Execution: Implement corporate promotional strategies and adapt them to local market nuances to counter competitor activities effectively.
  • Sales Tracking: Monitor daily/weekly primary and secondary sales data. Ensure adequate stock availability at the distributor and key pharmacy levels to prevent lost sales.

3. Training & Development of Field Force

  • Field Coaching: Dedicate a significant portion of the month (15+ days) to “Joint Working” with SPOs, providing real-time, on-the-job coaching and evaluating their detailing skills.
  • Technical Product Training: Conduct regular regional meetings to reinforce the field force’s knowledge of pharmacology, product USPs, and objection-handling techniques.
  • Performance Evaluation: Execute monthly and quarterly performance appraisals. Develop targeted improvement plans for territories or individuals missing their KPIs.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Pharmacy, Pharm-D, or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business or Science.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7 years of proven pharmaceutical sales experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role (such as Area Sales Manager) within the Faisalabad market.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Faisalabad healthcare landscape, including key hospitals, consultant networks, and local distributor dynamics.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills. Fluency in Urdu and Punjabi to build strong local rapport.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region to maintain field oversight.
