Job Description
Role Purpose
The Regional Manager will direct the sales force and promotional execution across the Bahawalpur region and its adjoining territories. This region presents a unique landscape, featuring premier medical institutions in the city center surrounded by an extensive network of periphery towns. We need a resilient, highly mobile leader capable of maximizing urban institutional business while effectively penetrating widespread rural markets to drive overall revenue growth. The role will also oversee operations across Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan, ensuring balanced market development and consistent sales performance across both urban and peripheral areas.
Core Responsibilities
1. Team Building & Leadership
- Talent Acquisition: Recruit, hire, and train a dedicated team of Sales Promotion Officers (SPOs) and Area Managers who are adaptable to both urban detailing and extensive rural travel.
- Team Motivation: Foster a highly motivated and cohesive team. Maintain strong communication and field support to prevent burnout and ensure high energy across a geographically expansive territory.
- Discipline & Ethics: Ensure strict compliance with daily reporting (DCR), ethical promotional guidelines, and itinerary adherence across all field staff.
2. Sales Promotion & Market Execution
- Strategic Coverage: Design comprehensive “Tour Programs” that ensure balanced and effective coverage of urban Bahawalpur (including key institutions like Bahawal Victoria Hospital and Quaid-e-Azam Medical College) alongside critical periphery markets like Lodhran, Ahmadpur East, and surrounding belts.
- KOL Management: Cultivate and sustain strong professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), leading consultants, and healthcare professionals within major teaching hospitals and private setups.
- Campaign Execution: Drive corporate marketing campaigns down to the grassroots level, tailoring promotional strategies to suit the distinct needs of both urban specialists and rural general practitioners.
- Distribution Oversight: Manage an extensive network of regional distributors and sub-distributors to guarantee seamless product availability and prevent stock-outs in remote areas.
3. Training & Development of Field Force
- In-Field Coaching: Commit 15–18 days per month to “Joint Working” with SPOs across varied terrains. Provide hands-on coaching to improve their medical detailing, confidence, and ability to close sales in diverse clinical settings.
- Technical Product Training: Conduct localized regional meetings to reinforce pharmacological knowledge, clinical advantages, and competitor counter-strategies.
- Performance Appraisals: Monitor individual and territory performance metrics rigorously. Identify skill gaps and implement personalized coaching plans to ensure every team member achieves their sales KPIs.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Pharmacy, Pharm-D, or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business or Life Sciences.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7 years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role (Area Manager or above) specifically managing the Bahawalpur or broader South Punjab market.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Bahawalpur healthcare landscape, including major institutional accounts, consultant networks, and the logistics of regional distribution.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Fluency in Urdu is required; strong proficiency in Saraiki and Punjabi is highly preferred for building deep local rapport in the peripheries.
- Mobility: Must be highly mobile, willing to travel extensively, and capable of managing a geographically dispersed field force.
Why Join Paramount Pharmaceuticals?
- Lead a vital region with immense untapped potential in both urban and rural healthcare sectors.
- A corporate culture that values resilience, strategic field management, and professional growth.
- Competitive salary package, comprehensive field and travel allowances, and performance-based incentives.
