We are seeking a highly responsible and technically skilled Production Pharmacist to oversee our manufacturing floor and ensure that our production processes meet the highest regulatory standards.

Role Overview

The Production Pharmacist will supervise daily manufacturing operations on the shop floor. This role is critical in ensuring that all products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and in strict compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) guidelines..

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Supervision: Oversee and manage daily production activities across various sections (e.g., granulation, compression, coating, encapsulation, and packaging) to meet monthly production targets.
  • GMP & SOP Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to cGMP guidelines, hygiene protocols, and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on the manufacturing floor.
  • Documentation & Records: Accurately fill, review, and maintain Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and Batch Packaging Records (BPRs) in real-time. Ensure all logbooks and equipment records are up to date.
  • Quality Coordination: Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) departments for timely line clearances, in-process checking, and sampling during different stages of production.
  • Yield & Waste Management: Monitor material consumption, optimize production yields, and implement corrective measures to minimize wastage and product rejections.
  • Team Leadership: Train, guide, and supervise machine operators and production staff. Ensure a safe working environment and enforce occupational health and safety protocols.
  • Equipment Monitoring: Report any machinery breakdowns or preventive maintenance needs immediately to the Engineering department to minimize downtime.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) from an HEC-recognized institution.
  • Licensing: Must possess a valid Category “A” registration from the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility (experience with specific dosage forms like solid oral or liquid manufacturing is a plus).
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of cGMP, DRAP regulations, and pharmaceutical quality systems.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing machinery and equipment.
  • Leadership & Communication: Ability to manage and motivate factory floor staff, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
