Job Description

Company Overview

At Paramount Pharmaceuticals, quality is at the core of everything we do. We are seeking a meticulous and highly analytical Quality Assurance Pharmacist to join our QA team. In this role, you will act as the gatekeeper of our quality standards, ensuring that every product leaving our facility is safe, effective, and fully compliant with national and international regulatory guidelines.

Role Overview

The QA Pharmacist is responsible for monitoring, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) across the manufacturing facility. This role involves rigorous documentation review, process validation, compliance audits, and ensuring that all operations strictly adhere to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Batch Release & Documentation: Conduct comprehensive reviews of Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), Batch Packaging Records (BPRs), and analytical test reports before authorizing the final release of finished products.
  • QMS Management: Handle deviations, out-of-specification (OOS) results, and change controls. Develop, implement, and track Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to address root causes of quality issues.
  • SOPs & Compliance: Draft, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various departments. Ensure all departments are operating in strict adherence to approved SOPs.
  • Validation & Qualification: Coordinate and document the validation of manufacturing processes, cleaning procedures, and analytical methods. Assist in the qualification of new machinery, HVAC, and water systems.
  • Internal Audits & Inspections: Conduct regular internal self-inspections of the production, QC, and warehouse areas. Assist the QA Manager during external regulatory audits (e.g., DRAP inspections).
  • Training Programs: Organize and conduct regular cGMP and hygiene training sessions for production operators, warehouse staff, and technical personnel.
  • Market Complaints: Investigate product-related market complaints and coordinate with production and QC teams to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) from an HEC-recognized university.
  • Licensing: Valid Category “A” registration with the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of dedicated experience in Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
  • Regulatory Expertise: In-depth knowledge of cGMP, QMS, DRAP regulations, and international quality guidelines (e.g., ICH, ISO).
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication & Documentation: Exceptional technical writing skills for drafting SOPs and validation protocols, coupled with strong verbal communication to effectively train staff and enforce compliance.

Why Join Paramount Pharmaceuticals?

  • Play a critical role in safeguarding public health and maintaining corporate compliance.
  • Work in a collaborative environment that values continuous quality improvement.
  • Competitive salary package and opportunities for career progression.
